MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, September 26, 2017 – Mojo Networks, a pioneer in Cognitive WiFi™, won the first round of three AFCEA DC “Cyber Shark Tank” competitions, modeled after ABC’s hit TV show “Shark Tank.”
Tom Conklin, Director of Federal Sales for Mojo Networks, presented the Cognitive WiFi™ capabilities of Mojo Aware to harness the power of machine learning, big data and artificial intelligence to deliver exceptionally reliable, high-performance wireless networks managed entirely in the cloud.
Mojo Networks had five minutes to present their solution to a panel of judges and five minutes to answer questions. Mojo Aware’s capabilities and innovative services captured the attention of the judges and advanced the company to the final round of competition. “We’re excited about the recognition Mojo Aware has received and look forward to extending our innovative cloud WiFi solution to federal agencies,” said Tom.
The panel of judges consisted of Dan Woolley, founder and managing partner, Ponderosa Management Group; Steve Charles, co-founder, immixGroup; Mark Loepker, master practitioner, Information Assurance and International Partnerships; Curtis Dukes, executive vice president and general manager, Security Best Practices and Automation for The Center for Internet Security; and Maria Horton, CEO, EmeSec.
The competition was webcast live Friday, Sept. 22 on Cybersecurity TV, an Internet TV Channel on the TV Worldwide Network. Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of TV Worldwide, felt that the content of this first of three Shark Tank competitions was exceptional. “We were very impressed with the quality of the ‘Cyber Shark Tank’ presenting companies and the in-depth questions from the panel of distinguished judges. Our audience on Cybersecurity TV was impressed too, as we saw a significant number of new registrations during the webcast once it started to go viral.” The entire broadcast will be available for on-demand viewing on CybersecurityTV.net on Monday, Sept. 25.
Mojo Networks will compete with other finalists at the 9th Annual AFCEA DC Cybersecurity Summit on February 26-27, 2018.
